Hydrafacial MD
Hydrafacial MD is a refreshing, versatile, and non-invasive medical-grade resurfacing treatment. This multi-step process cleanses, exfoliates evenly, and removes impurities and dead skin cells while replenishing essential nutrients simultaneously. The treatment infuses your skin with a rejuvenating mix of antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid, resulting in moisturized, brighter, and plumper skin. You’ll notice immediate results with no recovery time required. Hydrafacial MD helps diminish fine lines, wrinkles, and brown spots, reduces enlarged pores, and clears oily and congested skin. It also enhances elasticity, firmness, texture, tone, and overall radiance. Our advanced treatment includes lymphatic drainage, glycolic peels, LED light therapy, and customized serums for skin concerns such as acne, rosacea, hyperpigmentation, dehydration, aging, and more.
Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a gentle and highly effective method for revitalizing your skin. This procedure involves our providers carefully using a scalpel to remove the top layers of skin. By eliminating dead skin cells and vellus hair, or “peach fuzz,” dermaplaning reveals a fresher, smoother, and more radiant layer of skin beneath. It can minimize the look of acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles, and other imperfections. Often recommended before other facial treatments, dermaplaning boosts the absorption of serums, enhancing their effectiveness and delivering superior results.
Pros
- It painlessly exfoliates the stratum corneum to stimulate cellular turnover with little to no downtime.
- It is a great option for clients with sensitive skin and pregnant women who are looking for a deep exfoliation.
- It can be performed prior to treatments like facials, lasers, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels for better product penetration.
- It can be performed frequently.
- It helps makeup go on smoother and more evenly.
- It can help significantly lighten post-inflammatory scars from past acne.
- It does not make the hair grow back thicker and darker.
Cons
- The results might not be as long-lasting as other hair-removal methods, laser hair removal (which we offer as well)
- Clients with active and cystic acne should avoid this type of hair removal, as it can cause further irritation.
Medical Grade Chemical Peels
One of the most effective methods to enhance your skin’s appearance is through medical-grade chemical peels. These treatments involve applying an exfoliating chemical that removes the top layer of skin, revealing smoother and clearer skin underneath. Chemical peels come in three levels of intensity, determined by how deeply the chemical penetrates the skin and can address various skin issues. The appropriate peel for you will depend on factors such as your skin type, specific concerns, Fitzpatrick type, and skincare routine.
For best results, a series of four peels every four weeks is recommended, along with the use of suggested skincare products. Chemical peels effectively treat facial blemishes, wrinkles, uneven pigmentation, and acne and can be easily combined with dermaplaning for enhanced outcomes.
Pre-Peel
- Cleanse, exfoliate, and tone to minimize excess oil and remove dead skin cells.
- Prepare the skin with glycolic acid and SPF protection.
- Avoid facial scrubs, waxing, bleaching, microdermabrasion, laser hair removal, and topical retinoids for at least 1 week before a chemical peel to prevent post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and scarring.
Post-Peel
- Avoid the sun.
- Protect and hydrate. Replenish the post-peel with moisture-rich broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF30+.
- Apply a protective ointment and/or ice packs to soothe the skin.
- Avoid facial scrubs, abrasives, picking at the peeling skin, steam inhalation therapy, and exfoliating creams.
Microneedling
Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment using tiny sterilized needles to create micro-injuries in the skin, which stimulate collagen production through the body’s natural healing process. Known as collagen induction therapy, it aims to smooth, firm, and tone the skin by generating new collagen and tissue. Suitable for generally healthy individuals, it requires little to no downtime but isn’t recommended for those on certain acne medications or with active acne, moderate to severe psoriasis, or eczema.
Post-treatment, you may experience minor redness and irritation, and broad-spectrum sunscreen is essential. Predominantly used on the face, microneedling helps reduce the appearance of acne, scars, dark spots, wrinkles, and large pores.
Benefits
- Effective in treating minor scarring related to acne scars, stretch marks, and maturing skin.
- Most will notice brighter, firmer skin.
- May reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Improves skin elasticity to rejuvenate and plump the skin.
- Ideal results are achieved after a series of treatments. Maintenance treatments are recommended.
- Far more effective than at-home rollers because they penetrate deeper into the skin.
- A series of medical-grade peels in conjunction with microneedling is recommended for optimal results.
PRP Facials
A PRP facial, often called a vampire facial due to its red, bloody appearance, uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy. This treatment involves applying a mask made from your own blood to rejuvenate your complexion, which can be combined with microneedling to improve skin texture and tone. PRP facials stimulate collagen production by triggering the body’s natural wound-healing response.
A consultation is recommended to discuss your goals and create a personalized plan, as PRP facials can address concerns like spots, wrinkles, or skin damage and can be combined with other cosmetic procedures.
Benefits
- Stimulate collagen production
- Encourage elastin production
- Reduce fine lines, folds, wrinkles
- Open pores
- Improve pigmentation
- Improve the overall health of the skin
- Reduce scars, wrinkles, or sun damage
How is a PRP Facial Performed?
- You will be guided into a clean room and be made comfortable.
- A numbing cream will be applied to your face to make your skin completely numb.
- Our staff will draw a small amount of blood from a vein in your arm.
- Your blood will be spun in a centrifuge machine for about 10 minutes until the plasma separates from the rest of the blood.
- Your provider will take your plasma and inject it evenly into your face for about 20 minutes.
- We will wipe away any excess blood and help your skin feel rejuvenated.
- Following the facial, we may apply ice to reduce redness, swelling, and bruising.
