Our Story
In 2012 a local urologist realized that a large population of men suffered symptoms of hypogonadism and conventional medicine was not treating low testosterone…. That idea is what led to the “birth” of Vitalize. Our mission since day one was to help people feel better and optimize their health with hormone replacement therapy. Developing individualized plans was, and still is, what sets us apart from the rest. During this time, we also realized that there was a huge demand for a successful weight loss program in our area. Also voted “Best Weight Loss Center in Rochester”, we have helped hundreds lose weight, keep it off, and make positive lifestyle changes.
In 2018 Vitalize Medical & Aesthetics was the first of Rochester’s premier medical spas to offer IV Hydration & Vitamin Therapy, way ahead of its current popularity. We still maintain high medical standards by screening our patients and providing customized treatment for their needs.

Samantha Sassone, Clinical Director, DNP, AGPCNP-C, LMT
Samantha graduated from Duke University with a Doctor of Nursing and is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at LeMoyne College. She has a wealth of experience working alongside a plastic surgeon, as a Flight Nurse, in Intensive Care and Palliative Care Units, and has traveled to 5 continents caring for patients.
Samantha is our provider for Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Cosmetic Injections, and IV Hydration Therapy and is VMA’s Licensed Massage Therapist specializing in deep tissue and sports injury, with over 13 years of experience.
She lives in Shortsville, NY with her husband, Mike, two children, Alex and Leo as well as two goldfish, Gary and Spots. In her free time, Samantha volunteers for InterVol and Fairy Godmothers of Rochester and enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and Sunday football with her family. Her next trip is to Tanzania as a volunteer nurse.
With 15 years of nursing experience and spa experience, Samantha brings an extraordinary wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role. She is dedicated to ensuring outstanding support for her clinical staff and delivering top-notch care and quality for her patients. Her family, patients, and love of learning inspire her every day.
Jamie Borelli, FNP-C
Jamie attended the University of Buffalo and graduated from St. John Fisher as a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Jamie specializes in Cosmetic Injections and primarily performs IV Hydration Therapy services, PRP Hair Restoration, and PRP/PRF Cosmetic injections, along with other services at VMA.
Jamie goes above and beyond to truly listen to and respect her patients, helping them achieve their health and wellness goals. As an engaged member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Jamie is dedicated to staying up to date with the latest advances in healthcare, ensuring she can offer comprehensive and cutting-edge care to all her patients.
Jamie resides in Greece, NY with her husband, Anthony, and their son, CJ. Her family is her main source of inspiration, especially getting to see CJ learn and grow. Jamie enjoys traveling in her free time, especially to Italy, where she has some family.

Rachel Gianni, DC
Dr. Rachel Gianni received her bachelor’s degree from St. John Fisher College in 2008. She obtained her doctorate in 2011 from New York Chiropractic College. In 2014, she was certified by Southern California University of Health Sciences in Manipulation under Anesthesia, subsequently becoming Program Director, with privileges at the Ambulatory Surgery Center of Western New York. She is certified by the Surgery Center Academy in Ambulatory Healthcare Strategies. Dr. Gianni is also accredited by the American Association of Sensory Electro-diagnostic Medicine in Pain Fiber Nerve Conduction Study, proficient in the utilization of pf-NCS EDX analysis, diagnostic correlation & interpretation. Rachel won the Democrat & Chronicle Community Choice Award for Best Chiropractor in 2022 at Boev Clinic Spine & Pain Center.
Dr. Rachel Gianni specializes in providing individualized treatments for her patients based on their unique medical history, primary concerns, and comfort level. Her main goals are to eliminate pain, improve function, and increase their overall health.
Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, yoga, shopping, music and traveling to faraway destinations, especially Aruba.

Lauren Heberger, Licensed Esthetician, Permanent Make Up Artist
With an Associate Degree in Science and a plethora of certifications, including ones from Continental School of Beauty, Amy Kernahan Academy, Prettyology Academy, and Vicky Martin Method 3D Areola Restoration. Lauren brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her work. She is always on the lookout for new opportunities to expand her skillset and stay at the forefront of the industry.
Lauren takes pride in providing the best Hydrafacial MD experience to all her clients. She provides many services including but not limited to Dermaplaning, Lash Lifts/Tints, Microneedling, Medical Grade Peels, Sublative Laser treatments, Tiny Tats, Microblading, and Wax services.
Lauren keeps busy with her microblading and permanent makeup business, PoshPMU & Esthetics at The Collective by REVIVE.
Based in Rochester, she lives with her fiancé, Shane, and her fur babies Lucky & Marv. She is excited to get married in Harwich Port, MA in July 2024. Lauren finds inspiration from her family and clients. Sedona is by far her favorite place she has visited.

Amber Jakubonski
Office Coordinator
Amber’s main focus is making sure VMA is organized and running smoothly for the team and their patients/clients. She knows most patients by name and greets all with her bashful smile and warm heart.
She has a knack for finding ways to bring tranquility and joy into any situation, plus she truly cares about helping people.
Amber lives in Victor with her husband Justin, and their two amazing children, Andrew and Camryn and is busy being their biggest cheerleader at all their activities. She enjoys camping, exploring the great outdoors by hiking and biking – but especially loves to explore the majestic Adirondack region.
Her favorite service at VMA is Hydrafacial MD. This versatile treatment targets a lot of the typical concerns VMA clients come in with. She loves how Hydrafacial MD can get a client glowing with instant results with no downtime!
